Barry Davis
The Barry Davis Company, Inc.
Barry Davis has become a recognized builder in the Lexington/Lake
Murray area since the start of his company in 1989. Barry’s first
career since college where he obtained a B.S. in Marketing from Charleston
Southern University was in the Columbia area in the purchasing field.
Barry’ earliest exposure to the building industry was in the completion
of two personal homes before a career change that resulted in the
formation of his company and completion of 75 upscale homes around
the Lake Murray area.
The emphasis of the company has been toward custom homes in upscale
developments, as well as new home construction on the shores of Lake
Murray. Barry treasurers the relationships that can be developed with
customers through the building process, and recognizes these friendships
as his most valued marketing tool. Consistent with this is a part
of the company philosophy that “our customers know they can trust
us to build their house as if it were our own”.
Barry has been a member of the Home Builders Association of Greater
Columbia for many years and served as a Board Member for three years.
He has previously participated in the Tour of Homes and participated
in the 2004 Parade of Homes with multiple awards.

and an Interior Design degree from the International Institute of
Interior Design in Washington, D. C. For over twenty years, she has
been retail director of Dan-Rich Furniture in West Columbia. Susanne
has anticipated in many Parade of Homes and designer show houses.
Her philosophy of decorating is best described as comfortable elegance.
